what I love about this book is how it challenges the moral understanding I received about suicidal thoughts, about goodness and who is worthy of surviving.
Writer Kate Bornstein, is a trans woman (and many other things), and her queer and trans life infuses her suggestions with the tenderness of someone who understands why it can sometimes feel like when the whole world is telling you to suffer and die. Survival for people like us can be revolutionary, but some days it will feel like the best you can give is to slightly inconvenience your abusers. This book addresses both of those perspectives--without judging you for either.
